Had to pick between a consistent logo or chasing trends for my bakery brand
I was relaunching my little bakery's brand last fall and got stuck between two paths. Option A was sticking with the handwritten logo I'd used for 3 years, which customers already recognized. Option B was this trendy minimalist design that looked amazing on Pinterest but felt totally different from what people knew. I went with Option A but updated the colors and packaging around it, keeping the core identity intact. Sales actually went up 15% in the first month because regulars said it felt fresh but familiar. Has anyone else wrestled with keeping things consistent versus trying something flashy for a rebrand?

A friend of mine ran a coffee shop and tried the trendy rebrand last year. She switched back within six months because her regulars didn't recognize the place anymore.

Angela_carter's coffee shop story hits the nail on the head. 15% sales bump backs up that familiar refresh beats flashy change. New trend excitement fades fast but a loyal base is gold.
