I finally saw a brand promise fall apart in real time at my local grocery

Our neighborhood store launched a 'zero waste' campaign with fancy reusable bags and bulk bins. Last Tuesday, I saw them throw out a whole display of wilted herbs in single-use plastic clamshells. It felt like their eco message was just for show. Has anyone else caught a brand saying one thing but doing another?

Oh man, @piper_flores69 you hit the nail on the head right there. I saw the same thing with a big coffee chain that plastered "sustainable sourcing" all over their cups but still used those plastic stirrers and threw out unsold pastries every night. Makes you wonder how much of this stuff is just for the cameras.

How many times have you seen a green promise just be for good press?

Honestly, I was pretty cynical about it too. But seeing some local companies actually follow through on their waste goals made me rethink things. Guess some mean it.
