Logo refresh took 14 drafts, my old one was that bad

I spent 3 weeks trying to modernize our bakery logo in Portland, but every version lost the hand-drawn feel that regulars actually mentioned. Finally stopped tweaking on draft 14 when my wife said it looked like the original but cleaner, which was the whole point. Anyone else burn way more time than planned on a simple refresh that should have taken 2 days?

Hold on, FOURTEEN drafts? I would have rage-quit after like, four, max. You've got some serious patience, my friend.
