I added a 3 gram weight to the underside of each duck 6 months ago because I thought it made them track straighter, but the judge pulled me aside and said my ducks were hitting the finish line 8 seconds slower than the light ones. I pulled all the weights off last weekend and my fastest duck shaved 11 seconds off its time on the 40 foot channel. Has anyone else messed with weight distribution or is it all about the shape of the hull?
