Finally cracked how to get consistent 1mm cuts on my tiny dollhouse flooring

I kept splitting those thin balsa planks until I tried clamping them between two craft sticks before slicing with a fresh X-Acto blade, cuts came out clean every time after about 6 tries. Has anyone else found a better way to keep delicate mini wood from chipping?

Sand the edge instead, it gives a softer look that hides imperfections better.

Cutting beats sanding for clean lines every time, the rough edge from sanding always messes with my glue joints. @umak89, sanding might hide chips but it softens the detail too much for tight flooring patterns.
