Finally found a way to keep my tiny dollhouse curtains from looking limp

I've been building miniature furniture for 6 months and the curtains always hung weird until I dipped the fabric in watered down white glue before shaping them. The stiff look lasts forever and you can even fold them into pleats. Has anyone tried starch instead?

The watered down glue trick is interesting but I'm curious how stiff the fabric actually gets. Does it keep any natural drape or does it end up looking like a plastic sheet? I've been using starch on my 1:12 scale curtains and it holds shape but stays flexible enough to move if I bump the dollhouse. The glue makes me nervous about yellowing over time.

Starch is safe for sure but I glued some curtains 8 years ago and they still look crisp as day one, no yellowing yet. Might depend on the glue brand though.
