Got told my soldering iron tip was too big for dollhouse furniture hinges

A guy at the hobby shop saw me struggling with a 1/8 hinge and said to use a chisel tip instead of a cone. Has anyone else gotten a tool suggestion that completely fixed your fiddly project?

Used to think tip shape was mostly about preference, not function. Then I tried a tiny chisel tip for a jewelry clasp and it was like night and day. The flat surface alone stopped me from burning the surrounding parts. Soldering small stuff is definitely more about the right tip than the heat setting.

Tiny chisel tip" you say... makes me wonder if I've been using the wrong screwdriver this whole time.
