I said no to weaving and picked up competitive axe throwing instead

Last year I had to choose between taking a weaving class or trying an axe throwing league. I picked the axe throwing because it seemed more active. After 8 months I've actually gotten pretty good, hit the bullseye about 60 percent of the time now. Weaving would have been cheaper though, I've spent around $400 on axes so far. Anyone else here ever pick a weird hobby that cost way more than you expected?

See stuff like that all the time @adams.henry. People buy expensive gear thinking it'll turn them into a different person or something. Same with home gym equipment, fancy cameras, even musical instruments. We all get the idea of who we want to be but not the follow through. Kayak looks cool in the garage though, right?
