The secret to keeping tiny dollhouse curtains crisp is using coffee stirrers as curtain rods
I spent three months trying to get my 1:12 scale Victorian parlor curtains to look right. Everything sagged or looked lumpy. Last week I grabbed a pack of coffee stirrers from the break room, painted them bronze, and slid the fabric over them. The curtains actually hold their shape now and they cost me zero dollars. Has anyone else found random office supplies that work better than the expensive miniatures?

Oh man, coffee stirrers for curtain rods? Here I am using toothpicks like a sucker. I guess my dollhouse kitchen cabinets will keep falling off their hinges while you're living in the future with your fancy break room supplies. Next you'll tell me paperclips make perfect little chandelier chains or something. I can't even be mad, I'm just jealous I didn't think of it first.

Honestly, @elizabeth_bailey26 don't sleep on paperclips - I bent a few into a tiny chandelier last week and it looked ridiculously good. Toothpicks are amateur hour, you've been promoted.
