Blew through 700 bricks on a garden wall in Austin because my line pins shifted

Set up my string line on a Saturday morning and by Sunday evening noticed the whole middle section was bowing out about a half inch, must have been the wind catching the line overnight. Had to knock down and redo about 40 linear feet, anyone else tie their line off different when it gets gusty like that?

Half inch bow on a 40 foot wall seems like overkill to tear down, wind or not.
