Pointed trowel vs square end for brick cleaning
I been using a square end trowel for cleanup for 10 years. Switched to a pointed one last week on a 2000 brick wall job. Cleaned the mortar off faster but left more scratches. Which one do you guys stick with?

HOLD UP, you seriously went from square to pointed after ten years and NOW you're noticing scratches? I switched the other way three years back and never looked at a pointed trowel for cleanup again. Those scratches are a nightmare to fix on old brick, not worth the speed save.
