Warning: That job in Austin last month messed up my trowel hand
I was laying brick on a wall near South Congress and the mortar mix had way too much lime in it, stuck like glue. After 8 hours of fighting that stuff my wrist started clicking every time I tried to butter a brick. Anyone else run into a bad batch of mortar that threw off your whole arm for a week?

And @carr.brian that yellow tint is dead giveaway, I had a batch so bad the trowel actually got stuck and pulled my wrist out of place.

Wait, did that batch have a weird yellow tint to it too? I always figured lime-heavy mix was just something old timers complained about, but after a bad day on a retaining wall I was waking up with my hand cramped in a claw shape for like three days straight. Definitely changed my tune on blaming the materials instead of my technique.
