Watched a guy at the supply yard last week grab the wrong mortar mix for a repoint job
He grabbed type N for a 100 year old soft brick building and I had to stop him before he cracked the whole facade, has anyone else dealt with new guys ignoring the lime mix rule?

Grabbed type N for a 100 year old soft brick" is right, but you meant type O or a lime mix, not N.
