Wrote off lime mortar as a gimmick until a guy in Charleston showed me a 200 year old wall
I figured portland cement was just better because it sets hard and fast, but he knocked a chunk loose and the old lime wall flexed and dried out while the cement patch next to it was cracked and holding water. Any of you still mixing mostly cement on older repoint work, or have you switched?
