Bought a 50-pound bag of rice on a whim after years of buying the small boxes
I figured it would get stale or take forever to use, but after cooking from it every week for 6 months it cost me like 30 bucks total and I actually saved on takeout nights, anyone else finally cave on a bulk staple they swore was a dumb idea?

Jumped headfirst into a 25 pound bag of flour during lockdown. Realized after a month I'd basically committed to making all my own bread, pizza dough, and weirdly enough, a ton of flatbreads that I got way too excited about. The flour sat there mocking me every time I passed the pantry. But honestly the savings on storebought bread and not ordering takeout pizza added up fast, even if I did have to vacuum flour off every surface of my kitchen for six months straight.

Ended up finding a stray clump of dough behind the toaster six months later that was basically a biohazard, so I feel your pain on the flour situation.
