Frozen veggies beat fresh for my weekly meal prep
I used to buy fresh broccoli and bell peppers every Sunday for my stir-fry bowls, but they'd go limp by Wednesday and I'd toss half of them. About 4 months ago I switched to frozen bags that cost $1.50 each instead of $4.50 fresh. The trick is to throw them straight into the pan frozen, no thawing, and cook them hard for 5 minutes so they keep some bite. Now my weekly prep costs around $22 total for six lunches instead of $35, and nothing rots in my fridge. The texture is honestly fine once you get the heat right. Anyone else made the swap and found a brand that doesn't turn to mush?

Man, I gotta respectfully disagree here. Fresh veg keeps way more nutrients and flavor, and if you store them right (damp paper towel in a ziplock), they last a full week without turning to mush. Frozen works in a pinch, but that flash-freeze process changes the texture no matter how hot your pan gets. I'd rather pay a little more and know I'm getting the real deal.
