I finally looked up how much a single serving of my favorite takeout soup really costs
I was craving that creamy tomato soup from the cafe down the street, which is $6.50 a bowl. I found a recipe online and made a huge pot at home for about $4 total, using a can of crushed tomatoes and some pantry basics. It made like five servings, so each bowl was less than a dollar. Has anyone else been shocked by how cheap it is to copy a restaurant favorite?

Lol for real, @lee627. I did the same thing with those fancy coffee drinks. My homemade version tastes just as good and costs pennies.
