I used to think frozen veggies were a waste of money, but I just changed my mind
I always bought fresh broccoli and green beans because I figured frozen would be mushy and bland. Then last week I read a report on a nutrition site that said frozen veggies are often flash-frozen at peak ripeness, so they keep more vitamins than the fresh ones that sit in the truck for days. Plus, a bag of frozen mixed vegetables costs about $1.50 at my local Aldi, while fresh costs double that and goes bad in a few days. I tried steaming some frozen peas and carrots for a stir fry last night, and they were totally fine. Anyone else had luck switching to frozen for certain meals?

yeah frozen peas are actually better than fresh, fresh peas turn to starch in like a day. I keep bags of frozen corn and spinach in my freezer at all times now. The spinach is clutch for throwing into soups and pasta sauces, wilts down perfectly. And the price difference is huge, I can't go back to paying $4 for fresh green beans that get slimy after two days.
