My aunt showed me how to stretch a roast for three dinners.
We had it with veggies, then in sandwiches, and finally in a soup. What are your go-to meals for making ingredients last?

Your aunt's method is spot on. Tbh, I swear by batch cooking soups. They freeze well and you can change them up each time.

Totally get what you mean, Brian! My friend Mark did the exact same thing with a giant batch of potato soup. He was so proud of it, then ate it for four days straight and started calling it "the beige punishment." @hayes.harper is right about changing it up though. Mark finally thawed a container weeks later and added a bunch of crispy bacon and sharp cheddar to make it new. That saved it from the back of the freezer forever.

Yeah batch cooking soups is smart but man, I hit a wall with that sometimes. Made a huge pot of chili last month and by the third night I just couldn't look at it anymore. Had to freeze the rest and basically forget about it for a few weeks. It's a solid plan until you get sick of the same flavor, you know?
