Hours of soaking"? People act like beans are some huge ordeal. A quick soak cuts it to an hour and you just let them simmer while you do other stuff.

i get where she's coming from but honestly canned beans are a lifesaver. "wasting money" feels harsh when a can of black beans is like a buck and saves you hours of soaking and boiling. dry beans are cheaper sure but you gotta plan ahead and cook a whole batch or they're not really convenient. some days you just need to throw dinner together fast.
