Rice cooker changed my meal prep game

I used to think rice cookers were a waste of counter space until my sister left one at my place last fall. Got a 10 pound bag of rice for $5.80 at the local market and it makes perfect rice every time without me standing over the stove. Anybody else have a kitchen tool they wrote off for years before trying?

Right? I spent years babysitting pots of water like a chump while my $20 rice cooker sat in the back of a cabinet collecting dust. Now I can't believe I ever thought stirring was a skill worth bragging about.

And that's the thing about those "simple" tools, they free up your brain to focus on the other parts of cooking that actually need your attention. I'd probably sell my instant pot before I gave up my rice cooker now.
