I used to think cheap spices were all sawdust and regret, but that $1.29 jar of smoked paprika from the discount aisle tastes just as good as the $6 one and now I'm questioning every fancy jar I ever bought, what else is worth skimping on?

You ever notice how the fancy stuff just makes you feel better about yourself, even when it's the same? My buddy swore his $8 vanilla was life-changing until his wife swapped in the store brand and he didn't catch it for three months.
