Wasted $40 on meal prep containers that fell apart after 2 washes

I bought those cheap thin plastic ones from a dollar store and they cracked in the dishwasher within a week. Anyone else have a go-to container that actually lasts?

The dollar store ones are basically single-use in my world, I treat them like disposable Tupperware that pretends to be reusable (they lie). I've accepted that my kitchen gear has a shorter lifespan than a fruit fly, so I just stock up on the cheapies and call it a day.

Wait, you really just accept that your kitchen stuff is gonna die on you that fast? That's wild, I've never heard someone treat their containers like they're practically disposable from the get-go.

Do you really just throw them away after a few uses though? I mean a little elbow grease and some hot water and most of those cheap containers can last you months if not longer. I've got a stack of old takeout containers that have been in my drawer for over a year and they're still going strong. Just gotta pick the thicker ones and hand wash them instead of nuking them to death.
