I don't get why everyone raves about those 5am flight deals
Everybody in this sub acts like catching a 5am flight for $49 is a win, but after trying it three times last year I'm done. I saved maybe $80 total across those trips, but I paid $45 in Ubers because the bus doesn't run that early and bought $12 airport coffee just to function. Plus I was a zombie for the whole first day in Denver, killed a full afternoon napping instead of exploring. Has anyone else added up the hidden costs of these super early departures?

Heard a travel blogger say the real savings on those flights is zero if you factor in the cost of your wasted first day. Seems like those cheap tickets just shift the cost from cash to your energy.
