Just got back from a trip where I saved big by booking activities last-minute

I was in Costa Rica and didn't plan any tours ahead of time. On the day, I walked up to a surf lesson place and asked for any open slots. They gave me a 50% discount because they had empty spots. Now I always wait to book things until I'm there to snag deals.
