My sink laundry mishap taught me to ALWAYS roll my clothes

Tried to save cash by hand-washing my gear, but the sink overflowed. Rolling clothes saves space and stops bathroom floods!

Feel your pain on the sink flood. I did the same thing with a heavy sweater last winter, water everywhere. Started doing that tight military roll for everything now. What's the worst thing you've had to hand wash?

Beyond clothes, @williams.spencer, hand washing a big area rug after a pet accident is brutal. It was soaked through, too heavy for the machine. Had to drag it to the bathtub, scrub with enzyme cleaner for hours. The water weighed a ton, wringing it out alone was impossible. Ended up with a soaked bathroom floor, basically a second flood. Learned my lesson about rugs and pets the hard way.
