Paid $80 for a 'skip the line' pass at the Louvre and it was the best call ever
We had a tight layover in Paris and only 4 hours to see the museum. That pass got us in 90 minutes faster than the regular queue, so we actually saw the Mona Lisa. Would you pay that much to skip a line or is it a total rip off?

Totally worth it for a tight schedule like that. Did the same thing at the Vatican a few years back with only a three hour window. That skip the line pass was the only reason we got to see the Sistine Chapel. Time is the real cost when you're traveling, not just the ticket price. Would absolutely pay a premium again to make the most of a short stop.

The Louvre's official skip the line ticket is about 22 euros online. You might have bought from a third party reseller, which jacks up the price. Still, for a four hour layover, getting to see the Mona Lisa makes that extra cost worth it.
