Shoutout to the overnight bus from Berlin to Vienna

I had to choose between a 90 euro flight or a 35 euro overnight bus for a trip last month. I picked the bus, which left at 11 PM and got in at 7 AM. It had decent reclining seats, and I saved a night on a hostel. Has anyone else tried a similar long-haul bus route that actually worked out okay?

Wait, you actually slept on that bus? I could never get comfortable enough to sleep on public transit, even with reclining seats. That's a serious skill you have there.

It's not about being comfortable, it's about being exhausted. You reach a point where your body just shuts down. I've slept sitting up on a metal bench at a train station before.

That "body just shuts down" thing happened to me on a bus to Prague, woke up in a totally different country.
