Took me 5 hours to find a hostel that didn't show bugs in the photos

I was trying to book a place in Budapest for 3 nights and kept scrolling past all these cheap hostels that had blurry pictures hiding the bathrooms. Finally found one with clear shots of the kitchen and beds after digging through 40 listings. Has anyone else wasted a whole afternoon just trying to avoid a flea motel?

Used to just book whatever was cheapest and hope for the best, but now I get it. One bad experience with stained sheets totally flipped my approach to picking hostels.

Pro tip for @abbychen, check hostel photos for bed risers no one mentions they block dust bunnies and crumbs from moving around.
