Turns out the 5am bus trick actually works, ate my words in Chicago

I always figured the whole 'take the first bus of the day' thing was just people trying to sound smart. Then last month I had a 6am flight out of O'Hare and figured why not try it. The 4:45am Greyhound from downtown cost me $12 instead of the $45 shuttle I usually grab. Got to the airport with zero traffic, zero line at security, and even had time for a $3 bagel instead of the $8 airport one. Anyone else have a hack they swore was nonsense until they got forced into trying it?
