Was looking at flight prices to Lisbon and saw a stat that flying on a Tuesday can be 24% cheaper on average...

Wait, you guys actually check flight prices that often? I used to think it was all random luck, but the Tuesday thing makes a weird kind of sense. I spent years just booking flights on whatever day was most convenient, usually a Friday or Saturday. But after reading this I opened a browser and checked a few random dates. The difference was pretty clear, not just a few bucks but real savings. I'm not one to track prices for two weeks, but I'll definitely start checking Tuesday nights before I book anything.

Oh wow, that tracks with what I found! I booked a trip last fall and checked prices every single day for two weeks (it was a bit obsessive, I know). The absolute cheapest days were always Tuesday and Wednesday, without fail. I ended up saving a ton just by shifting my trip to leave on a Tuesday instead of a Friday. It's a pain to plan around, but totally worth it for the savings.

That Tuesday thing is real, and @schmidt.eva is right about the tracking. The real trick is checking the airline's own site right after midnight in their home time zone. Found a flight to Lisbon that dropped eighty bucks for about twenty minutes on a Wednesday at 12:05 AM. It's a weird, quiet window when their systems update and the deal-hunting bots haven't all caught up yet. You have to be a little crazy to find it, but it works.
