Why does nobody talk about the Tuesday my $12 hostel dorm in Lisbon beat every hotel I've paid for
I got stuck sharing a room with 5 strangers after my flight got moved, and it turned into a free walking tour, a home cooked dinner, and a guy who showed me the 2 euro train trick to Sintra. Way better than the $140 night I blew in Barcelona the week before on a place with a broken AC. Is it just me or do the cheap nights out beat the fancy ones most of the time?
