Appreciation post: My old spreadsheet versus a simple envelope system
I tracked everything for a month and the envelopes kept me $200 under my grocery budget. Has anyone else switched from digital to cash for certain categories?

Wow, I was totally a spreadsheet person for years. Felt like I had to track every penny digitally to be responsible. But trying cash for my fun money last month was a game changer. Seeing the actual money leave my hand makes me pause way more than swiping a card. I'm honestly shocked how much less I spent.

Ha, the cash diet. My wallet's on a hunger strike now too. Cards just don't hit the same.
