Can we talk about grocery store brand peanut butter vs the expensive stuff?
I did a blind taste test with my roommate last Tuesday. We grabbed the $2.50 store brand from Kroger and a $6 jar of the fancy organic kind. The cheaper one actually won three out of four rounds in our little kitchen showdown. Now I'm wondering if I've been wasting cash on brand names for years. Has anyone else tried comparing their own pantry staples like this?

OH man, this is so relatable! I once bought generic ketchup to save a buck and my roommate wouldn't let me live it down for a WEEK.

Hold on, I think generic ketchup is actually pretty close to the name brand stuff in taste tests. I mean, your roommate probably just got stuck on the label and not the actual flavor. Maybe give the off-brand another shot, it's really not that bad.
