Cash envelope system beat my budgeting app after 6 weeks
Tracked every penny with an app for 3 months in Phoenix, still overspent by $200 each month. Tried cash envelopes for groceries and eating out in June, blew through exactly what was in each envelope and nothing more. Has anyone else found that physically handing over bills makes you pause more than tapping a card?

My envelope of $40 for coffee lasted two weeks, so I stopped rolling my eyes at this system.
