Found an envelope of old receipts and realized I was spending $87 a month on coffee shop pastries
I tallied up 6 months of those little bakery purchases and cut them out cold turkey, now I make oatmeal at home and my monthly food budget dropped by almost 10% - has anyone else found a surprise money drain in their grocery receipts?

Found an $11 a month subscription I forgot about and that stung way more than skipping the fancy toast.

Gotta push back a little on that. $11 a month is like a coffee and a snack once, but that fancy toast habit adds up way faster over time if you're doing it everyday. Those little daily spending leaks can sneak past you way easier than one forgotten subscription bill.

Ngl that $11 a month hits hard because it's just sitting there in the background, but the daily coffee thing you actually notice and can make a choice about. I had a gym membership I forgot about for like 8 months, that was $40 a month and I never even stepped foot in there. But with the toast or coffee, you're at least getting something out of it even if it's small. The sneaky part is how those subscriptions stack up without you realizing until you actually check your bank statement. Honestly wish there was a way to get a pop up reminder every year for all the random stuff we signed up for and forgot about.
