Found out my streaming subscriptions were costing me more than my car insurance

I was looking at my Mint app this morning and realized I'm paying like $85 a month across Netflix, Hulu, Spotify, and a couple others. That's over $1,000 a year just for stuff I barely watch. My car insurance in Austin is only $68 a month, so I'm literally spending more on streaming than on being legally allowed to drive. Has anyone else added up their subscriptions and gotten a shock like that?

Aw man that really puts it in perspective. I did the same math after my wife and I noticed we had like seven different services and were paying nearly $100 a month. Cut it down to just Netflix and Spotify and honestly don't even miss the rest. Crazy that we just let those auto payments stack up without thinking.

I dunno, I actually like having options. Binge watching gets old fast.
