Got hit with a $47 fee at a wedding in Dallas because I used the wrong card
Was at my cousin's wedding in Dallas two weekends ago and the open bar had a $40 minimum before tax, so I handed over my debit card without thinking twice. Found out Monday the bar ran it as a cash advance through my bank and tacked on a $47 fee plus interest, which ate up basically all my grocery budget for that week. Has anyone else gotten dinged like this, and is there a way to fight it or do I just eat the loss?
