Honestly, my grocery bill went from $600 to $350 a month after I stopped one thing
Ngl, for years I was buying all my groceries at the big chain store near my apartment in Austin, thinking the sales were good. I switched to planning meals around the weekly flyer for a local discount market instead, and the difference after just 30 days was crazy. Has anyone else had a win like this from changing where you shop, not just what you buy?

Always figured the big stores were cheapest, but planning around a discount market's flyer cut my bill way down. @margaretj40 is onto something about how they get you to walk past stuff. That switch in strategy makes a bigger difference than just clipping coupons.

Saw a thing online about how the big stores put the loss leaders in the back to make you walk past everything. Makes you wonder. Switched to a smaller place for basics last month and my cart is definitely lighter.
