He planned every meal around one store's clearance rack in Charlotte, and I told him that was just buying junk nobody wanted. Last month I tried it for real, not just the deals but the timing, he goes on Tuesday mornings when they mark down the meat and bakery. I spent $62 on stuff that lasted 9 days, including two full chicken dinners and a loaf of sourdough I froze. My usual $140 weekly run felt like a rip-off after that.
