Rant: That dryer repair I thought was a 1-hour job...
Took me three weekends to finally swap out the heating element on my old Kenmore because the wiring diagram was all faded and I bought the wrong part twice. Anyone else have a 'quick fix' turn into a whole project that cost way more than you planned?

Oh man, I feel your pain! Labeling every wire with masking tape first saved me from that headache.

About 14 wires on my old stereo install, and I still managed to hook the power wire to the ground because I got lazy and skipped the tape. Now I just use a label maker and different colored heat shrink, but honestly the real pro move is taking a photo on your phone before you unplug anything. My thumbs still hurt from cramming behind that dashboard trying to trace everything by feel.
