Remembered my grandmother's envelope method at a garage sale
This lady in Des Moines was selling old kitchen stuff and mentioned she still sorts her cash into envelopes every payday, just like her grandma taught her in the 70s. It hit me that I used to watch my own grandma do that at her kitchen table, and I started doing it again last December, got my emergency fund over $2,000 for the first time. Has anyone else gone back to a system they saw as a kid and found it works better than any app?
