Shoutout to my emergency fund hitting $1,000 for the first time last Friday
It finally hit me that I could cover a surprise vet bill for my cat without touching my rent money, which felt way better than any takeout splurge ever has.

I used to think emergency funds were just for big stuff like losing a job. Having that cash for a smaller surprise really showed me how it stops a small problem from turning into a huge one. It's a different kind of peace of mind.
