Went to the hardware store for a $5 part and saw they had a whole section of 'open box' returns for 70% off.

Picked up a perfectly good cordless drill for $15 because the box was damaged. Anyone else find a hidden gem in the clearance aisle lately?

My local store's open box section is just broken stuff they couldn't resell. That drill might work today but die next week. Not worth the gamble for me.

Ever check the return policy on open box stuff? A lot of places give you the same warranty as new, so you're covered if it dies. I've had way more wins than losses doing that.
