Finally picked one notebook system and stuck with it for 6 months
I went back and forth between a Leuchtturm1917 and a simple Moleskine for my bullet journal. The Leuchtturm has numbered pages and a table of contents built in, which felt like a no-brainer. But the Moleskine was cheaper and I liked how the paper felt. I ended up going with the Leuchtturm and honestly it made a difference. Having the index already there saved me time setting up my collections. I did 12 spreads in the first week alone and didn't have to draw any page numbers. Anyone else try both and land on one?

Oh totally, I went through the exact same struggle. The Leuchtturm's numbered pages are honestly a game changer for bullet journaling because you don't have to stop and count ahead or keep a sticky note with page numbers. I remember my first Moleskine had me flipping back and forth to find where my collections were, and I'd scribble numbers in the margins like a maniac. What really sold me on the Leuchtturm was how the paper handled fountain pens and highlighters without bleeding through, which was a huge win for my weekly spreads. If you're still on the fence, try using a ruler and a fine liner for a week to see if the paper texture bothers you, because it's a little more absorbent than Moleskine.

The Leuchtturm's numbered pages saved me about an hour of setup time for my morning routine tracker alone. I used Moleskine for two years before switching and the lack of page numbering always annoyed me. The paper is a little different but I got used to it in about a week.
