Finally realized why my monthly log felt so useless

I was copying a spread from a popular YouTuber for almost a year before noticing my 'tasks' were just vague hopes like 'get organized'... no wonder I never checked anything off. How do you actually write down a task that gets done?

The trick is to make it so specific you can't weasel out of it. "Organize the junk drawer" is a real task, "get organized" is just a mood. You need to see the finish line.

But sometimes a mood is all you need. If "get organized" gets me moving, that's better than staring at a junk drawer I don't want to touch. The finish line can just be feeling less stressed.
