My cousin said my weekly spread looked like a to-do list for a robot

She was flipping through my journal at a family thing in Tacoma and pointed out there was zero color or personality. I realized I was so focused on being efficient that I stopped enjoying the process. Now I force myself to add at least one small doodle or use a colored pen for my top priority each day. Anyone else get too caught up in the system and forget to make it fun?

Switching to a fountain pen with fun ink colors made my planner feel less like a chore. The extra step forces me to slow down and enjoy writing things out.

That's such a good way to make planning feel special.
