My entire March spread bled through after I tried a new ink in Chicago last week

I picked up a bottle of 'Midnight Black' fountain pen ink from a small shop, and it went right through my 160gsm notebook paper. I had to carefully cut out six ruined pages with a craft knife. Has anyone found a truly bulletproof black ink that works on standard journal paper?

That's the worst. So many products now feel like they're all marketing, no actual function.
