My sister said my weekly spread looked like a To-Do list, so I killed it
I've been bullet journaling for about 3 years now, mostly to keep track of cleaning schedules for my house cleaning clients. My weekly spread was always this super minimal grid with just tasks and appointments. Last month my sister looked over my shoulder and said, 'This isn't a journal, it's a chore chart with nicer pens.' It stung because she wasn't wrong. I spent a whole Sunday redoing my setup and added a small section for one thing I actually enjoyed each day, like a coffee I tried or a song I couldn't stop playing. Now my week feels less like a list of obligations and more like a record of stuff that happened. Has anyone else had a family member call out their system and force a redesign? What did you add or cut?

honestly I think your sister did you a favor and you kind of missed the point. a to do list is exactly what a weekly spread should be. you're a cleaning person, you need to know what houses need what and when. adding a coffee you tried just sounds like extra stuff you have to remember to write down. that's another task on the list pretending to be fun. I bet next week you skip the song section two days in a row and then you feel bad about it. that's not a record of your life, that's just guilt with a nicer pen.
