My friend had the same thing happen with her planner last year. Her mom called it a "glorified sticker book" and she was bummed for a week. She ended up leaning into it and adding more photos and ticket stubs on purpose. Now it's this cool mix of her plans and her memories, and she loves it way more. Sometimes those comments point you toward what you actually enjoy.
